A Bit of History
The French presence in this region dates back from 1774 when the families Doiron,
Duon, Broussard, Vincent and Lamarre established here. Between 1789 and 1792, the founding
families were joined by Acadian families with the names Boudreau, Landry, and Melanson.

 Chez Deslauriers is an Acadian historic site overlooking beautiful Pomquet
Beach. Chez Deslauriers, with its restaurant, Arts and Crafts shop and an ecological
