DeKrauz ( Cross )

Gabriel Louis-Marie DeKrauz arrived at Pomquet sometime between 1794 and 1814 from Paris, France. He married Madeleine-Josephe Broussard on February 14, 1814. The family name changed to LaCroix and then to Cross over the years. Most of the family members settled in Heatherton but Thomas Cross settled in Pomquet. There is no one who carries the name locally but it can befound in western Canada.
