Bourg
The Bourg family that came to Pomquet between 1789 and 1792 consisted of
three daughters and a granddaughter of Francois Bourg and Anne Aucoin. Marie-Jacquemine,
widow of Olivier- Raphael Daigle, remarried to Pierre-Josaphat Doiron at Pomquet. The
second sister,Helene Bourg and her husband, Jean Daigle alsosettled here. However by 1794,
Helene was a widow and she later remarried to Jean Drouillet. The third
sister,Anne-Gregoire, was married to Charles Broussard in France. They arrived in Pomquet
and had their family. The three sisters were the only surviving children, thus all the
descendants of Francois Bourg and Anne Aucoin are from Pomquet. |
